You could put mustard, ketchup, relish, pickles, tomatoes, sauerkraut, and cheese on them and no one would bat an eye. You could fry them, boil them, grill them, and microwave them…what are we talking about? Hot dogs, of course! Hot dogs have been an American favorite since the 19th century, and for good reason. Here at Family Fun Center in Lakeland Florida, we love celebrating National Days and Months, especially ones involving food, and July is National Hot Dog Month. We are proud to offer mini corn dogs at CAP’s Pizza Cafe. 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HOT DOG AND A CORN DOG?

A traditional hot dog is simply a sausage, which is often served on a bun or bread. A corn dog is traditionally a hot dog breaded in a cornmeal batter and fried or baked until golden and crisp. At Family Fun Center, we do a miniature variation on the classic corn dog for our many mini guests!

If hot dogs are not quite your thing, CAP’s has a variety of options to tickle everyone’s taste buds! We have pizza with a variety of toppings including pepperoni, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, olives, peppers, and onions in two size options. We also have wings in a six or ten count option with a variety of sauces. All of our great options are reasonably priced, but for our best deal we suggest the combo. It includes mini corn dogs, tater tots, and a small drink for only $2.99. It really is the best deal in town! Our mini-golf course got another face-lift! If you came by earlier this week, you may have noticed that our mini-golf hours were altered slightly (instead of opening at 10am Monday through Wednesday, we opened at 2pm.) This was because we were re-vamping our adventure golf course again! If you remember, we did some renovations back in April, but now we are replacing all the carpet on our course to not only make it more appealing, but also safer for you and your family. 

Why Miniature Golf Is Great

Mini-golf is one of our most popular attractions here at Family Fun Center in Lakeland Florida, and for good reason. Not only is it a great way to spend an afternoon of quality time with your children, but also a way to get your exercise in. Mini-golf tournaments can also be a fun and different opportunity for a fundraiser for your local nonprofit or charity organization, and is a great way to get your cardio in, as well as teach your little ones a skill.

Other Fun Attractions at Family Fun Center

If mini-golf is not “your thing” or you are looking for something to do after our 18-hole course, we have a fun and exciting arcade with a brand new card system that makes it easier to keep up with your tokens and tickets. We also also have laser tag, and a Funtasia play area for children 12 years old and younger.

Who doesn’t love laser tag? At Family Fun Center located in Lakeland Florida, we know we sure do! Laser tag was invented in 1984 and is now a beloved favorite found in many Family Fun Centers across the globe. It got us thinking though, how could we make an awesome game even more awesome? Was it possible? Well, we think we found a way with our Vault Assault and Beam Buster games! 

Vault Assault

The point of the game is simple enough. You must get to your mission objective as quickly as possible without breaking any of the lasers. While it may seem simple, this course is challenging in the best way. It will take planning, skill, and balance to maneuver your way through the labyrinth of laser beams and to do so quickly is a challenge only the most skilled can complete with accuracy. The best part about our newest attraction is you can pretend to be whomever you want: a ninja, a spy, James Bond himself, the options are endless!

Beam Buster

Directly opposite the objective of the Vault Assault is the Beam Buster game! The point of this game is to break as many lasers as you can as quickly as you can. In this variation, ALL of the lasers will be on, and while it takes some strategy, this variation is fun for people of all skill sets.

Everyone is abuzz with excitement around here because recently, we unveiled of our newest way to play. We now have re-loadable Fun Cards that make it easier and more fun to play at Family Fun Center of Lakeland! Let us answer a couple questions about this awesome new card!  

How Does It Work?

1. Simply charge up your card at one of our convenient kiosks or any point of sale
2. Insert your card into the reader located at each game throughout our facility
3.To play the same game again, you simply press the PLAY AGAIN button. It really cannot get much simpler than that!

Does It Only Work On Arcade Games?

Our easy-to-use Fun Card works everywhere in our facility! You can use it for concessions, arcade, Adventure Golf, laser tag, and our laser maze. It is easy, and versatile!

How Does Ticket Redemption Work?

At the end of the day, when you are ready to redeem your tickets, simply take your card (just like you would do with paper tickets) to our redemption counter. No more waiting in an endless line, because our Fun Card calculates exactly how many tickets you have, it is faster to get your prize!
